Starting out the client had multiple ideas on how they would like to be represented. The ideas were based on the location, Washington D.C., as well as the classic Mafia look and feel. After a thorough discussion, we decided to go with the Capitol building and a mafioso posing with a Tommy gun. I designed multiple variations of the mafioso silhouette based on the client's preferences including male and female options.
The initial reference logo sheet with the male version. The logo was intended to be used for embroidery, print, and web designs. I made sure to include multiple color variations, full color, two color, and one color versions for various budget ranges and the types of embroidery. The logo was intended to be bold with a clear font and simple lines.
The female version of the mafioso silhouette. The client decided to go with the female look instead of the male.
